We started out as audio and video repair technicians, back in the Disco era. It was the time when the electronics industry was about to explode and advance at an astonishing pace, as newer and more exciting products came to market and soon enough found a place in the homes of the average consumer.
Our electronics and electrical background was combined years later as we got involved in the custom electronics installation business. The '80s were so exciting and full or rewarding experiences, with the advent of the personal computer, the CD player and other exciting consumer products such as the satellite reception equipment still in its infancy, and the front projection TVs with an unheard of screen size which we used to service and install. Fast forward to the '90s, when we used to service the multi-room audio equipment and resolve technical issues on behalf of major electronics manufacturers from which we received factory-sponsored technical training. We were at that time the technical side of the installation business, as we serviced equipment for most Southern California custom integrators, via Volutone, a major custom electronics distributor. If you haven't heard of it, it's understandable, as it is aimed mostly at the custom market and high-end installers and only for authorized integrators
Other experience worth mentioning was the day to day involvement in repair and troubleshooting of professional audio recording equipment, car audio systems (yes, we've done a lot of those), at a time when all computing equipment was so expensive as compared to today's prices, that the average consumer actually was in need of a repairman/serviceman. We also worked in the servicing and installation of business machines, some of them are now found in museums or in the homes of electronics collectors. (we may be talking about fax machines, answering machines, CD-ROM changers used in computing applications, just to name a few) yes, we've done that too, a lot of troubleshooting and technical related work.

By the end of the '90s and into the new millennium (did we mention the 2K computer re-programming thing), we were actively involved in new construction home pre-wiring for burglary alarms, surround sound systems, satellite reception antennas, POTS, structured wiring and such. Another exciting event was the fast adoption of small (fixed) dish and satellite reception equipment installation in MDU's, commercial and residential markets, which kept us really busy, followed by the approaching invasion of flat panel TVs (they were not so flat when compared to today's sets, but definitely flat if compared to the CRT or rear projection TVs which were back then still in high demand). We installed those flat panel TVs by the dozens, as the prices of even the less expensive one was set into the many thousands of dollars (We could easily buy two trucks with the price of one of those TVs) and the installation definitely required two men for handling and delivery, not just because of the weight, but because of the price. Back then we were authorized installers for most major big box retailers, some of which are now part of history
Now in full stride, we are installers and electronics systems integrators fully committed to our career path, something that we just love doing. Like they said, choose the right job and you will never have to work. We simply love and enjoy catering to your home entertaining needs.
